Gersthofen - Germany - July 7th,
2005. Transwide is pleased to announce that
INVISTA, one of the world's largest integrated fiber,
resin and intermediates companies, has selected
Transwide as its pan European Transport Execution
solution provider.
INVISTA was looking for a pan-European solution
provider to standardize and automate all communication
with its contractual transportation providers. One
of the key benefits INVISTA sought was to obtain
real time alerts on specific events, such as late
deliveries and/or specific incidents during transport.
INVISTA was searching for a solution provider which
could be used by any contractual transportation
company in any European country. The solution therefore
had to be available in a large number of European
languages and not require the transportation provider
to install any software or to purchase additional
hardware.
INVISTA conducted a preliminary implementation
phase with Transwide in Gersthofen - Germany, with
one fully integrated contractual transportation
provider and one transportation provider accessing
INVISTA orders on the Transwide application via
the Internet. The preliminary phase was a success
for all parties.
INVISTA is now conducting a pan-European roll-out
of the Transwide solutions. The modules to be implemented
are twCall-Off, the Transwide transport order module,
and twTrace, its track and trace module. Furthermore,
INVISTA sites will start using twSlot, Transwide's
fast-growing slot booking solution.
Thomas Lindermayr, INVISTA: "A large number
of our contractual transportation companies are
already working on the Transwide network. This is
an important element for us as we want our transportation
companies to work on a standard network and not
on an INVISTA specific and imposed solution. The
current Transwide transportation base and the fact
that solutions are offered free of charge to transportation
providers will greatly ease the implementation speed
and process."
Gregory Blondeau, Transwide: "INVISTA's needs
and vision correspond perfectly with Transwide's
business model. INVISTA needed an information network
where a transportation provider could receive and
share information free of charge and would not put
transportation providers into a price competition.
Having the same views on what a standard transportation
network should be offering has resulted in an outstanding
working relationship - right from the start."
